The second Northern Winter League held in Liverpool. The weather was a rude awakening to the British ultimate climate for those lucky enough to traipse across the world last month.
The games were 50 minutes long, to 11. Our first three went as expected with scorelines of 11-1, 11-0 and 11-2. We worked on individual things during each game and we managed to get a team who didn't really know each other to play very fluid offence. At times we did get dragged into a turn-over fest but this usually lasted only a couple of minutes before we took charge and completed the score.
The final however didn't go as expected..... but we won 10-6. Boogie Knights were clinical at times and scored a number of hucks which we should have mopped up but after half we took charge and got a few consecutive D scores to take the game away.
