Former Eastender and Vanvouver based ultimate star Mike 'Grant' Mitchell is said to be furious of the underhand way in which his sister-in-law has blocked a planned player transfer. "We all thought it was a done deal" said Grant "Rob came to Vancouver this summer to play some Ultimate, meet my team-mates and look for a house. He and Jo seemed to like the place and we were all looking forward to him starting with us. Heck we've even started losing games that we had been expected to win to make sure that Rob would feel more comfortable as part of the team." Recently crowned world champions Furious George have failed to qualify for this year's UPA nationals in a not very close mirror of recently crowned Tour Champions Chevron failing to win this year's UKU nationals. "Next I hear" Grant continued "Jo has bought him a dog, he has to walk it through the Devon country side twice a day and claims that this makes his commute to practice impossible. Jo's actions, clearly designed to put an end to Rob's wanderlust habits, are out of order."

Brothers Rob and Grant have never been team-mates and Jo's underhand tactic seems to have put a block on them ever achieving this never-held ambition. The closest they got was when the estranged black sheep of the family came to Britain to visit friend, and Chevron's tame viking, Jesper Snooordengrass in the late nineties. Grant enquired about playing for Chevron but was banned from the team on account of having terribly bad hair - something that did not prevent Rob from playing for Fingers 6 just a few years before.
When asked to comment on his brother's news Stu Mitchell said "It's fantastic, I could not be more pleased for him. Nora is a wonderful baby and we hope she brings Sarah and Ben years of joy and happiness."
Chevron stalwart and Aussie soap heartthrob Matt 'Craig' McGloglin said "If I lived in the beautiful city of Vancouver and was recognised as one of the best Ultimate players in the world I would still whine and bitch about things not being fair."
